Production Assistant - Forklift Operator

About the Company:

Bodiam warehouses, processes and markets cereal hay and straw for export to Asia and other destinations. 

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team. This position involves working across rotational rosters, including weekends, nights, and public holidays.

The Duties include but are not limited to:

• Pre-start machine checks

• Operation of forklifts

• Assist with the operation of the hay press

• Cleaning

• Minor Mechanical repairs 

• Operation of strapping and wrapping machines

The successful candidates will possess:

• A current Forklift Licence.

• Current White Card.

• Current Police Clearance or willingness to obtain prior to commencement

• A high level of attention to detail.

• Good communication skills.

• Candidate’s will be required to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical, including regular drug and alcohol screening.

Please note this role deals directly with hay and straw and may not be suitable for those with allergies, asthma, or other respiratory conditions.
