Dispensary Assistant

About the role

This role involves working across both the dispensary and packing areas, supporting pharmacists to provide safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients. You will be working in a busy community pharmacy team in Bundaberg, in a team environment with strong attention to detail and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently

• Prepare and manage medication packing (blister packs / dose administration aids)

• Process prescriptions using pharmacy dispensing software

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

• Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients

• Assist with stock management and inventory control

• Help maintain an organised and efficient dispensary and packing area

About you

• Previous experience as a Dispensary Technician, Pharmacy Assistant, or Packing Technician highly regarded

• Minimum 6 months experience in a dispensary, pharmacy assistant, or packing technician role is ideal

• Experience with medication packing or blister packs preferred

• Confident using computers and pharmacy dispensing software

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

• Reliable, organised and professional

• Must be an Australian permanent resident with full work rights
