Role Detail

As part of our pivotal wider Technology team, with over 100 nationally, you will be valued and respected.

Reporting to the Data Architect & Solutions Data Manager, you will build, operate and enhance the integrations and data ingestion pipelines that underpin the firm's data platform.  This role blends solution architecture, integration development, and operational support, with a focus on cloud-native platforms and enterprise data synchronisation.

You will work within the Technology Solutions team to deliver impactful data products and support the firm’s digital transformation initiatives.  Over an 18-to-24-month horizon, you will grow into ownership of the firm's Fabric bronze data platform, ensuring data quality and operability.

You will take on a dynamic mix of solution design, operational support, and service delivery, with a key focus on designing, building, and optimising data integrations that keep our operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

• Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines into Microsoft Fabric, primarily using Fabric Data Factory pipeline-based ingestion across SaaS APIs and on-premises sources.
• Deliver and support Boomi integrations, scoped to Intapp-specific integrations, just-in-time transforms, and ongoing updates to external operational systems including expense management and cloud applications.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to build scalable platforms and with developers to deliver impactful data products.
• Maintain SQL and pipeline artefacts in source control, using branching and pull request review, with repeatable promotion between environments.
• Operate and enhance delivered solutions in BAU: monitoring pipeline health, responding to ingestion alerts, resolving failures, and handling schema and source changes.
• Implement and maintain data synchronisation strategies across platforms including M365, SharePoint, iManage and Workday.
• Apply and help evolve bronze layer ingestion standards: naming, partitioning, incremental load patterns, watermarking and metadata capture.
• Contribute to the firm's data governance initiatives and work within established governance, lineage and retention practices.
• Communicate clearly and proactively with Technology, Business Enablement and Legal teams, including translating technical detail for non-technical stakeholders.

Bring your deep understanding of data flows, source control, and deployment strategies to a fast-paced environment that will see you solving complex integration challenges and driving system performance.

Your sharp focus on security and privacy best practices, ensuring that all integrations comply with governance and legal standards, will be celebrated, as will your ability to adapt and tailor as the business needs continue to evolve.

You also bring:

• Demonstrated ability to reason about medallion architecture: what belongs in bronze, silver and gold, and why. Hands-on experience within a medallion-structured platform is expected.
• Experience working on Azure-based data platforms, including delivery within a team or alongside an implementation partner.
• Strong SQL/T-SQL; hands-on pipeline development in Fabric or Azure Data Factory; REST API integration experience; working Boomi experience required.
• Awareness of data governance practice, including metadata, lineage and retention. Willingness to work within established governance frameworks.
• Experience integrating line-of-business and SaaS systems. Familiarity with legal or professional services systems such as iManage or Intapp is an advantage. Power BI familiarity desirable.
• An ability to manage high volumes of work and prioritise expectations.
• Scripting or programming capability beyond SQL, such as PowerShell or Python, is an advantage.

Due to the nature of the role, flexibility to work outside standard office hours will be required at times.
