About the role

As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy mechanical workshop while ensuring our high standards of customer service, workmanship and efficiency are maintained. This is a hands-on management role suited to someone who is organised, confident with customers and enjoys leading a team in a busy workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Managing the daily workflow and scheduling of the workshop

• Leading, supporting and coordinating our team of technicians

• Providing exceptional customer service and building/ maintaining strong customer relationships

• Preparing quotes, explaining repairs and keeping customers updated

• Ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard

• Monitoring productivity and helping the workshop achieve weekly targets

• Ordering and coordinating parts as required

• Maintaining a clean, organised and professional workshop

• Supporting and motivating staff while maintaining accountability and high standards

• Working closely with the business owners to continually improve workshop operations
