Workshop Manager

About the role

This is a hands-on management role responsible for the overall performance, profitability, customer experience and daily operations of the branch. We are looking for someone who can lead a team, drive results and maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the Artarmon branch.

• Lead, support and guide technicians and workshop staff.

• Drive the branch towards its sales, productivity and profitability targets.

• Manage workshop workflow and ensure vehicles are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

• Attend to customers and provide professional advice throughout the repair process.

• Review technician inspection and diagnostic reports.

• Prepare and present repair quotations to customers.

• Obtain customer approvals and maintain clear communication regarding vehicle progress.

• Ensure repairs are correctly invoiced and collect customer payments.

• Manage the final vehicle handover and explain completed and future recommended repairs.

About you

• Previous automotive workshop management or senior service advisor experience.

• Strong automotive technical knowledge.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Strong customer service and sales ability.

• Commercial understanding of workshop productivity and profitability.

• Ability to prepare and explain repair quotations confidently.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• A proactive, accountable and results-driven attitude.

• Current Australian driver's license.

• European vehicle experience will be highly regarded.
