Casual Barista & Café All-Rounder

Araluen Botanic Park is looking for friendly, energetic and customer-focused Casual Baristas & Café All-Rounders to join our team during our annual Springtime Festival.

Set amongst the stunning gardens of Araluen Botanic Park, It's Yates Springtime at Araluen Springtime Festival is one of our busiest and most exciting times of the year. Our café team plays an important role in ensuring visitors have a great experience while enjoying the gardens, flowers and festival atmosphere.

As a Casual Barista & Café All-Rounder, you’ll be an important part of our busy festival café team. You’ll work alongside our café staff to provide friendly and efficient service to a high volume of visitors.

Your duties will include:

• Preparing and serving quality coffee and other beverages

• Taking customer orders and processing payments through our POS system

• Serving food and assisting with basic food preparation

• Maintaining a clean, organised and well-presented café and service area

• Restocking supplies and assisting with general café duties

• Providing friendly and professional customer service

• Working efficiently as part of a team during busy periods

• Assisting with opening and closing duties

• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures

We’re looking for people who are:

• Friendly, approachable and confident with customers

• Reliable, punctual and well presented

• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment

• Able to remain calm and organised during peak periods

• A team player with a positive attitude

• Confident handling cash and EFTPOS/POS transactions

• Experienced in café, hospitality or customer service environments

• Barista experience is highly desirable

• Available to work weekends and public holidays during the festival period

This is a great opportunity to be part of one of Araluen Botanic Park’s busiest and most vibrant periods of the year. You’ll work in a unique garden setting, meet thousands of visitors and be part of a friendly team delivering an important part of the Springtime Festival experience.

This is a temporary casual position for the duration of the Springtime Festival, with shifts available across the festival period.
