Operations Manager - Estimating

Stoddart Group are a leading supplier and installer of products to the residential building industry. We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager - Estimating to lead a team that supports estimating operations across the business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving systems, developing people and using data to make smarter operational decisions.

You’ll lead a team of Estimating Administrators, Business Analysts and offshore support staff, ensuring workflows run smoothly, service levels are met and pricing information remains accurate and reliable.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading the day-to-day operations of the estimating support function

• Managing workflow, team capacity and turnaround times

• Building a strong customer service culture across the team

• Coaching and developing team members to achieve high performance

• Working closely with Quoting, Ordering and operational stakeholders nationally

• Overseeing pricing schedules, cost models and estimating data integrity

• Identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate processes

• Using data and reporting to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities

• Driving continuous improvement initiatives across systems and ways of working

What we’re looking for

You may come from estimating, construction administration, procurement, operations or a similar environment. More important than your title is your ability to lead people, improve processes and keep a complex operation running effectively.

• Experience leading and developing operational or estimating teams

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

• A collaborative approach and confidence working with stakeholders across a business

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Experience working with pricing, cost models or business data

• A continuous improvement mindset and a practical approach to problem solving

• Experience in the residential building or construction industry (highly regarded)
