Role Description</strong> The Commercial Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Broome, WA. This role oversees commercial aspects of construction projects, including contract administration, cost control, and financial reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and negotiating subcontractor agreements, monitoring project expenditures, preparing progress claims and variations, and supporting procurement activities. The Commercial Supervisor collaborates closely with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to manage risks, maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and ensure clear, professional communication on all commercial matters.
The role also contributes to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline commercial processes and support the company’s commitment to quality and community impact.
Qualifications Demonstrated experience in commercial supervision, contract administration, or quantity surveying within the construction industry.Strong skills in budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and commercial risk management.Ability to read and interpret contracts, drawings, specifications, and relevant construction documentation.Proficiency with project management and construction-related software, as well as MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines on-site.Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.Understanding of Australian construction standards, commercial practices, and WHS requirements; experience in regional or remote environments is advantageous.Commitment to ethical business practices, community engagement, and supporting initiatives that create positive generational change.
