About Sharon AISharon AI is an Australian sovereign Neocloud and NVIDIA Cloud Partner, delivering large-scale GPU compute platforms for enterprise, research and government customers. We design, build and operate high-performance AI infrastructure, enabling organisations to train, deploy and scale AI, machine learning and HPC workloads securely on Australian soil.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Audit & Risk Coordinator to support our audit, risk and compliance activities across our Australian Neocloud and GPU infrastructure operations. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll help embed consistent audit practices and risk management processes across the business, working closely with technical, commercial and operational teams.
The RoleThis is a permanent full-time role suited to a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working across audit, risk and operational teams in a fast-paced, AI-native infrastructure environment. You'll coordinate internal and external audits, maintain the corporate risk register, support risk assessments for service and infrastructure changes, and help ensure audit and compliance activities are well documented and followed through to completion. You'll work closely with Build, Operations, Sales & Marketing teams, as well as external data centre providers, auditors and assessors.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the planning, scheduling and delivery of internal and external audits, including operational, financial and compliance auditsMaintain and update the corporate risk register, working with department leads to identify, assess and track mitigation actionsSupport Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) and Integrated System Testing (IST) documentation and sign-off ahead of facility go-livesTrack Service Change Requests (SCRs) to ensure appropriate risk assessment, approval and documentation processes are followedAssist with reviewing data centre provider contracts and Monthly Recurring Charge (MRC) invoices for compliance with agreed commercial and service termsCoordinate audit and risk activities across BMaaS and VMaaS service linesMaintain the audit and compliance calendar, tracking upcoming reviews, certifications and renewal datesPrepare audit findings reports and track remediation actions through to closureSupport the development and maintenance of risk management policies, procedures and frameworksLiaise with external auditors, assessors and certification bodies to support audit engagementsAssist with incident and issue logging, root cause analysis and corrective action trackingSupport certification audits relevant to a Neocloud/data centre environment, including ISO 27001 and SOC 2Prepare audit and risk reports and dashboards for the Head of Operations and relevant governance forumsMaintain accurate audit and risk documentation, evidence and recordsSupport business continuity and disaster recovery testingMonitor regulatory and industry developments relevant to data centre operations and risk management
Skills & ExperienceWe're looking for someone with strong organisational skills, sound judgement and an ability to work effectively across technical, commercial and operational teams. You'll ideally bring:3–5+ years' experience in an audit, risk, compliance or governance coordination roleExperience coordinating internal or external auditsExperience maintaining risk registers and supporting risk assessment processesStrong understanding of audit methodologies, risk management frameworks and internal control principlesStrong Excel and reporting skills, with experience using GRC or audit management software highly regardedExcellent organisational skills and strong attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple audit and risk activities concurrentlyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to build effective working relationships across technical, commercial and operational teamsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management or a related fieldFamiliarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2 or similar information security and data centre standards
Highly RegardedExperience in data centre, cloud, colocation or broader infrastructure-related industriesExperience working with third-party data centre or colocation providersExperience preparing Board or executive-level risk and audit reportingWorking towards or holding a relevant professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or CA/CPAFamiliarity with GRC tools or similar risk and compliance tracking systems
