We are looking for driven individuals to join our team as a Kitchen Hand in our Stewarding department. ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Kitchen Hand, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen environment to support the delivery of a premium hospitality experience to our patrons.

You will be responsible for cleaning commercial kitchen equipment and supporting the efficient coordination of Catering Back of House operations, including the preparation and pack-down of Corporate Suites, VIP Functions and Members’ Lounges.

The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Operate commercial dishwashers to clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils and crockery.

• Set up Corporate Suites and VIP Function Areas with crockery, glassware and cutlery.

• Organise and maintain the safe and efficient storage of catering equipment.

• Ensure safe, clean and efficient kitchen operations at all times.

• Assist Chefs with general food preparation duties when required.

• Liaise with the Chief Steward, Sous Chef, Head Chef and Executive Chef to support departmental requirements.

• Assist with the preparation and pack-down of catering operations for events and functions.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have full Australian working rights.

• Be available to work shifts that may finish late in the evening, occasionally up to 2:00 AM.

• Be available to work the majority of weekdays, across morning and evening shifts, with availability for Fridays, weekends, late nights and/or public holidays as required.

• Be comfortable and physically capable of moving and handling heavy items.

• Have strong and effective communication skills and be fluent in English.

• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Have experience handling corrosive and hazardous chemicals.

• Hospitality or commercial kitchen experience will be looked upon favourably.
