About the Neurodiagnostic Laboratory

The Neurodiagnostic Laboratory is committed to promoting the highest levels of diagnostic service for our patients based on person-centered evidence-based practice. The department provides services at the Austin campuses, from the Emergency Department, inpatient and outpatient services and ongoing ambulatory care.

About the role

As secretary at Austin Health, you will work collaboratively with a supportive team of professionals, who are passionate about providing best practice care for patients. You'll join a friendly and supportive team who genuinely enjoy their work and the contribution they make.

A regular day will see you:

• Facilitate the daily administrative operations of the Neurodiagnostic laboratory including scheduling appointments, patient arrivals and reports distribution.
• Manage queries from staff, patients, relatives and visitors.
• Facilitate the billing of diagnostic tests.

About you

As the Neurodiagnostic Secretary, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:

• A positive attitude to assist patients, families and carers who attend the Neurodiagnostic Laboratory
• Experience in a similar administrative role
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment
