About the role
Title:
Drainage EngineerKBR, as part of the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East Linewide Alliance, is proud to be helping deliver one of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects.
SRL is a city-shaping program that will transform how people live, work and move around Melbourne. The 90km orbital rail line will connect every major train line, link key precincts, and support thriving communities across the city. SRL East, the first stage of the project, will deliver 26km of twin underground tunnels and six new stations between Cheltenham and Box Hill. As part of the Linewide Alliance, KBR is delivering critical design services across civil, structural, track, drainage, power, systems and infrastructure disciplines that will support safe and reliable operations of the future rail network.
As a Drainage Engineer, you’ll be integral to delivering some of Victoria’s most significant transport infrastructure projects. From major road upgrades to complex rail works, you’ll take ownership of drainage design across all project stages—planning, modelling, designing, and guiding delivery to the highest standards.
You’ll collaborate closely within multidisciplinary design teams, supporting projects from concept through to completion. Ensuring quality, safety, program, and budget requirements are met will be a part of your day‑to‑day, along with building strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high‑profile projects that will shape Australia’s transport networks for decades to come—while working alongside some of the most experienced specialists in the industry.
You’re a Drainage Engineer with proven experience across civil infrastructure projects. You understand the complexities of drainage design for road and transport environments, and you thrive in multidisciplinary, fast‑paced project settings.
Building trust with clients and stakeholders comes naturally, and you take pride in developing solutions that are technically sound, practical, and future‑focused.
