Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate person to join our Medical Reception Team at Newmed Services. You will play a pivotal role with maintaining exceptional customer service standards, and providing unmatched administrative support to our amazing Clinical Team. Our recruitment strategy is based on finding the right person for the role, therefore desirable personal attributes are as important as skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing a friendly and understanding welcome to our patients, whether in person or over the phone. Working together with our patients to ensure access to the right type of service to meet their needs.

• Exercise confidentiality regarding patient care and all aspects of the practice and ensure that practice privacy policy is always adhered to.

• Supporting your team mates to ensure that all have the opportunity to grow and operate at our full potential. Contributing to making the workplace a collaborative and safe space.

• Be prepared to dress up and show your support for our health promotion events. And bring your appetite for all our many celebrations and social events.

• Contribute to maintain accurate data in the clinical database. Process payments received and submit Medicare and DVA claims. Be ready to hear out billing enquiries and provide assistance where you can.

• Have past customer service experience

• Are self-motivated

• Are punctual, reliable and honest

• Have a working with vulnerable people card or were wiling to get one (this is mandatory)

• Have Triage training or prior experience in triage

• Have a CPR certificate
