Oral Health Therapist

Perth Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery located in West Leederville are looking for an experienced Oral Health Therapist.

The practice consists of major maxillofacial surgery procedures including orthognathic surgery, the full scope of minor oral surgery and implant surgery.

Role:

The role Oral Health Therapist (OHT) is to support surgery-based practice and provide intra-operative assistance. Key tasks include post-operative care, surgical planning and assisting with the computer planning of cases.  Theatre training will be provided but previous experience is advantageous. There is some administration work involved with this role too, so candidates must be open to a balance of clinical and administrative duties.

Essential duties:

• Post operative patient care

• Assisting with surgical care

• Management of digital photographs, digital radiographs and patient records

• Pre-surgical work ups - photographs, impressions and pre-surgical cleans.

• Assisting with the consulting process involving typing of notes into Genie

• Computer literate, assisting with administration duties.

Applicants must:

• Be a registered Dental Hygienist or Oral Health therapist with current AHPRA registration

• Be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen

• Experience with Genie, Nobel Clinician and Dolphin Imaging is preferred, but not essential

• Previous 2 years demonstrated experience in OHT role.
