Working to protect the state’s environment and heritage
Walk and work on Country to provide high level executive administrative services to help establish and manage the Aboriginal Joint Management Committees.
About the role
This is an Aboriginal Identified role where Aboriginal identity, cultural knowledge or connections are a genuine aspect of the role. Positions are specifically noted under the provisions of the NSW Anti-discrimination Act (1977).
Join NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and work in our collaborative and supportive team. Our Central West Area staff are passionate about the spectacular reserves they manage and bring their full self to the job every day, helping drive innovation for us.
We’re looking for individuals who are natural co-ordinators & organisers who have a cultural respect or association with Tubba-Gah Country. The position will work in partnership to contribute towards the conservation and protection of Aboriginal heritage and our natural environment. This pivotal role supports the implementation of the Indigenous Land use Agreement (ILUA) and provides a wide range of executive administrative support services to support the effective liaison between NPWS and the Tubba-Gah (Maing) Wiradjuri Advisory Committee to deliver on NPWS commitments within the ILUA, reserve plans of management and the input of the Advisory Committee.

You will also facilitate training, advocate for Committee goals, and assist in the development of culturally relevant educational and tourism activities. This is the ideal job opportunity to walk and work on Country and part of a solid, supportive team that values connection to Country, respects cultural knowledge, and works closely with Aboriginal Owners.
About you
You’re a highly organised and motivated individual, with a strong knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and prior experience in working with Aboriginal communities.
