Georges River Sailing Club is looking for a passionate and reliable Casual Cook to join our back of house team. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on cook who enjoys working in a busy hospitality environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality food and service.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head Chef, you'll work as part of our BOH kitchen team to deliver high-quality, consistent food for our Bistro operations. This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in food preparation, cooking and maintaining a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard for Bistro service
• Completing food preparation and cooking duties as required
• Working efficiently within your allocated section and supporting the wider BOH kitchen team
• Following recipes, food safety standards, kitchen procedures and company requirements
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Ensuring kitchen equipment is used correctly, maintained and cleaned appropriately
• Working collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider BOH team
• Supporting the delivery of an exceptional guest experience through quality food and service
• Contributing to a positive, cooperative and productive kitchen environment

About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about food, takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a team.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience working as a Cook or in a similar commercial kitchen environment
• Commercial Cookery qualifications and/or relevant industry experience
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• The ability to work effectively as part of a busy kitchen brigade
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food quality and consistency
• An understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
• Flexibility to work across Bistro service, including weekends and evenings as required
• A willingness to support your BOH colleagues and contribute to a positive workplace culture
• Professional presentation and a commitment to high standards
