DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER – FEMALE PREFERRED | SIL | EVENING & SLEEPOVER SHIFTS
Location: Cranebrook, Penrith NSW
Employment Type: Casual / Part-Time
Shifts: Wednesday and Thursday evenings, including sleepover
Experience: 6 months to 1 year preferred
Wellness Medic is looking for a caring, reliable and motivated Disability Support Worker to join our SIL team in Cranebrook.
The participant has expressed a preference for a female support worker, so female applicants are particularly encouraged to apply.
We are looking for someone who is interested in a long-term position and can provide consistent support to the participant. Building a strong rapport, trust and a positive working relationship with the participant is very important to us.
Consistency is a key part of this role, as we want to establish a good routine and familiar support relationship with the participant over time.
The role will initially involve Wednesday and Thursday evening shifts, including sleepover shifts, with opportunities for additional shifts in the future.
Previous disability support experience of 6 months to 1 year is preferred. Full training, induction and ongoing support will be provided to the successful applicant.

6 months to 1 year of disability support experience is preferred. Full training and guidance will be provided.

• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working With Children Check
• National Police Check
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Australian working rights
• Valid driver’s licence
• Reliable vehicle and appropriate insurance where required

Key Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Providing person-centred support in a SIL home
• Supporting evening routines and daily living activities
• Building a strong rapport and trusting relationship with the participant
• Maintaining consistent routines and providing predictable support
• Assisting with meal preparation and household tasks
• Supporting community access and activities
• Following individual support plans and organisational procedures
• Completing accurate progress notes and documentation
• Supporting medication routines where appropriately trained and authorised
• Maintaining a safe, respectful and positive home environment
Skill & Experience
6 months to 1 year of disability support experience is preferred. Full training and guidance will be provided.
