Lead the night at one of Fortitude Valley’s most dynamic venues

The Beaumont is a two-level hospitality and entertainment destination in the heart of Fortitude Valley.
Upstairs, The Beaumont Beer Garden offers rooftop dining, cocktails, poolside drinks, stone-fired pizzas and private functions.

Downstairs, our 800pax Main Room hosts live music, DJs, late night events, corporate functions and private celebrations.

We are looking for an experienced, confident and hands-on Duty Manager with strong club, entertainment or late-night venue experience. You will take ownership of evening and late-night operations, lead the team from the front and ensure every event runs safely, smoothly and professionally.

This role is ideal for a manager who understands fast-paced nightlife, can confidently coordinate multiple departments and remains calm when the venue is at full capacity.

What you’ll do

• Lead bar, live entertainment, function and late-night trading shifts

• Take responsibility for the safe and successful operation of the venue

• Coordinate bar, floor, kitchen, security, entertainment and event teams

• Work closely with DJs, performers, promoters, function organisers and contractors

• Conduct pre-shift briefings and allocate staff across multiple service areas

• Monitor crowd behaviour, patron intoxication and venue capacity

• Support security with refusals of service, patron removals and incident management

• Ensure RSA, liquor licensing, workplace safety and venue procedures are followed

• Resolve guest complaints and operational issues quickly and professionally

• Maintain high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness and venue readiness

• Manage opening and closing procedures, cash reconciliation and end-of-shift reporting

• Complete incident reports, handovers and other required venue documentation

• Coach, motivate and develop staff during busy services

• Respond confidently to unexpected changes, high-volume arrivals and operational pressure

About you
You are a visible, practical leader who is comfortable making decisions and taking control of a busy venue.
You will ideally have:

• At least two years’ experience in a Duty Manager, Club Manager, Night Manager or similar leadership role

• Strong experience in nightclubs, live entertainment, large events or late-night hospitality

• Confidence managing high-volume trade and large patron numbers

• Experience working with security teams and handling patron-related incidents

• Strong knowledge of RSA, liquor licensing and late-night venue compliance

• Experience managing bars, functions, entertainment and floor operations

• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills

• A calm and professional approach under pressure

• Strong cash-handling, closing and reporting skills

• A hands-on leadership style and willingness to support the team wherever required

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, public holidays and late-night shifts

Essential requirements

• Current RMLV certificate

• Current Queensland Approved Manager Licence

• Full Australian working rights
