Duty Manager

The Waterside Hotel is a six-level hospitality destination in the heart of Melbourne CBD, our biggest pub redevelopment yet. From after work knockoffs and long lunches to special dinners , celebrations, late nights and events, there is always something happening.

We are looking for a Duty Manager to help lead our team and build on an already thriving venue. You’ll play a key role in strengthening our culture and standards while leading from the front. You’ll be hands-on and visible, running shifts with confidence, guiding the team and ensuring every guest leaves with a reason to return.

Who you are

You’re a natural leader. Running shifts comes second nature and you keep calm when it’s busy, delivering service that’s as genuine as it is memorable.  You'll bring: 

• 3 years’ experience in hospitality leadership, ideally in a high-volume bar or late-night venue

• Ability to coach, train and inspire your team, creating a culture of trust and drive

• Confident in shift and bar management, costs and rosters, adjusting quickly when last minute changes are needed

• You know compliance inside out: RSA, late-night trade, food safety, WHS and security

• Easily connect with people, building rapport with both the team and guests

• You’re up for the late nights (3–4am on weekends)
