Transmission Lines Engineer - Electrical

Position Summary
The Senior or Electrical Engineer - Transmission Lines & Substations is responsible for the design, analysis, and delivery of transmission and substation projects for utility, renewable energy, and industrial clients. The role provides technical leadership across overhead transmission line and substation engineering disciplines while supporting project execution from concept development through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Execute transmission line and substation design projects.Design high-voltage transmission lines through EHV networks.Perform line routing, conductor selection, insulation coordination, and transmission line optimization studies.Design transmission line structures, foundations, and associated components in collaboration with structural and geotechnical engineers.Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering designs.Perform electrical studies and engineering calculations.Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams.Interface with utilities, clients, contractors, and regulators.Review and approve engineering deliverables.Support construction, commissioning, and project closeout activities.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Experience
6+ years' experience in transmission lines and/or substation engineering.Experience delivering utility-scale power infrastructure projects.Strong understanding of transmission network planning and design.Experience working with Australian utility standards and regulations preferred
