About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Supervisor to join the team at our waste centre, in Bowral, NSW. 

This is an excellent full-time opportunity for a proactive leader with recycling or waste management experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about operational excellence and sustainable outcomes.

A typical day as the Site Supervisor would involve:

• Ensuring all team members understand and comply with company WHS policies, procedures and site-specific safety requirements.
• Working closely with the Site Manager to ensure the landfill and waste transfer operations run safely, efficiently and in accordance with operational requirements.
• Ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and submitted within required time frames, including daily checklists, operational reports, work permits, JSAs, pre-starts and incident reports.
• Monitoring plant and equipment and promptly identifying any maintenance, mechanical or operational issues, working with the Site Manager to coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Ensuring plant and equipment are operated safely and appropriately, and that site activities comply with EPA requirements, applicable waste and environmental regulations, WHS legislation and local council requirements.
• Maintaining effective traffic management and safe interaction between customers, heavy vehicles, plant operators and pedestrians.

About You

• Proven experience operating mobile plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Proven ability to delegate tasks effectively while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards
• Strong awareness of safe work practices when working around heavy plant and machinery.
• Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrated experience leading and supervising teams to achieve operational objectives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation.
