About the role

As a Site Supervisor, you will be working closely with the Quarry Manager and are responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring a safe, productive, and efficient workplace. In the absence of the Quarry Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the quarry.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily quarry operations to meet production and performance targets.
• Operate a range of mobile plant and equipment as required, including excavators, loaders, dump trucks and screening plant
• Ensure all operations comply with company procedures, site approvals, and legislative requirements
• Monitor loading and unloading activities to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Assist with the commissioning and implementation of new plant and equipment
• Support the development and training of operators on new equipment and operational processes
• Ensure operating procedures are developed and maintained for new plant and equipment.

What we are looking for

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within quarrying, mining, civil construction, or a similar heavy industry environment
• Demonstrated experience operating heavy mobile plant
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead by example
• A sound understanding of WHS legislation and best practices
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
• The ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment
• Cert IV in Extractive Industries will be highly regarded
• Relevant plant operation tickets and qualifications is highly regarded.
