Community Activities Lake Macquarie (CALM Inc.) is a respected not-for-profit organisation committed to creating empowered, connected and respectful communities. Since 1987, we have delivered a range of services that support children, young people and families to thrive through early intervention, wellbeing, family support and community development initiatives.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Youth Case Worker to join our dedicated team and support young people aged 12-24 years and their families through evidence-based early intervention programs and case management services.
As a Youth Case Worker, you will work collaboratively with young people and families to build resilience, strengthen relationships, improve wellbeing, and increase community participation. You will provide advice and referral services, short-term case management, group facilitation, and community-based support using a strengths-based, client-centred approach.
This role offers variety, meaningful work, and the opportunity to contribute to positive outcomes for young people and families across our community.
Provide information, advice, referrals and support to young people and families.
Deliver short-term case management, including assessment, planning, intervention and review.
Facilitate evidence-based group programs and capacity-building activities.
Establish positive and professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Advocate for young people and families and connect them with appropriate services and supports.
Participate in intake assessments and case reviews.
Maintain accurate case notes, client records and outcome reporting.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local services, schools and community partners.
Contribute to community development initiatives and activities that improve access to services for vulnerable young people.

Degree qualification in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology or a related field.
Experience delivering youth, family or Early Intervention services.
Knowledge of child development, child protection and early intervention frameworks.
Experience facilitating groups and delivering evidence-based programs.
Current NSW Driver Licence.
Current Working With Children Check.
Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office.
