Internal Sales Support/Warehouse

About the role

As Internal Sales Support, you'll be the first point of contact for valued trade customers — assisting with product enquiries, processing orders, and providing expert support over the phone, by email, and in person at the trade counter. You'll work closely with external sales team and technical staff to deliver exceptional service and build lasting customer relationships. Alongside this, you'll play a hands-on role in the warehouse, making sure orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time, and that stock is well managed. It's a varied role that suits someone equally comfortable talking product with an installer and getting stuck into the warehouse when it's busy.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound sales calls, emails and trade counter sales

• Process orders and provide product pricing and availability

• Offer product recommendations and solutions to suit customer needs

• Support the external sales team with quotes and follow-ups

• Maintain strong product knowledge through ongoing training

• Assist with showroom presentation as required

• Accurate picking and packing of customer orders

• Prepare and dispatch shipments with freight carriers

• Receive inbound stock, check against purchase orders and putaway

• Inventory management, including stocktakes, cycle counts and investigating discrepancies

About you

• Previous experience in internal sales or customer service — ideally in security, electrical or technology wholesale

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly pick up product specifications

• A team player who thrives in a supportive, collaborative environment

• Comfortable with the physical side of warehouse work

• Current driver's licence

• Experience with CCTV, alarm, access control or IP networking products (highly regarded, but not essential)

• Experience with an ERP or inventory management system (highly regarded, but not essential)
