About the role
The Role
Perform reception duties including fielding telephone inquiries and ensuring a flow of communication within the unit and between the unit and other Agencies.Maintain both hospital and Genetic Services databases by processing incoming referrals; and entering and updating patient’s personal details including patient contact with the service. Book patient appointments and mail out appointment documentation including family history questionnaires to newly referred patients.Draw and update family trees using pedigree drawing software.
You will need
Demonstrated office administration skills including the ability to complete a wide range of tasks with a high degree of accuracy whilst working under minimal supervision and within established guidelines.Sound knowledge and experience in the use of software packages for the operation and production of reports and spreadsheets together with a willingness and the ability to learn new software applications.Effective time management and organisational skills and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritise and effectively exercise judgement and discretion in completing day to day tasks.

Details of appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$68,854 to $73,947 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
