Graduate Quantity Surveyor

A growing Quantity Surveying and cost management consultancy is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join its Sydney CBD team.

Working across a diverse portfolio of property and construction projects, the consultancy provides cost management and advisory services throughout the project lifecycle. This is an opportunity to build on your early consultancy experience, gain greater project exposure and work closely with experienced Quantity Surveyors who can support your progression.

Role Overview

This role is suited to a Quantity Surveyor with 1+ years' consultancy experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility and continue developing their technical and client-facing capability.

You'll gain exposure across both pre-contract and post-contract services, supporting projects from early feasibility and cost planning through to construction and final account. As your experience develops, you'll progressively take greater ownership of project deliverables and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, estimates and feasibility studies across different project stages
• Undertake quantity take-offs and measurement using CostX
• Assist with tender documentation, procurement and tender analysis
• Prepare cost reports and support ongoing project financial management
• Assess progress claims and variations during construction
• Assist with final accounts and project close-out
• Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors throughout project delivery
• Work closely with senior team members while progressively taking greater project responsibility

Skills & Experience

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
• 1+ years' Quantity Surveying experience within a consultancy environment
• Exposure to pre-contract and/or post-contract Quantity Surveying services
• Strong numerical and analytical capability with excellent attention to detail
• Confident written and verbal communication skills
• CostX and Excel experience is highly regarded
• Full Australian working rights
