Graduate Quantity Surveyor

A respected national property and construction consultancy is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join its Sydney team.

With a diverse portfolio spanning commercial, residential, education, healthcare, infrastructure and government projects, the consultancy offers graduates the opportunity to build broad industry experience from day one. Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors, you'll receive structured mentoring, ongoing training and exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Role Overview

This role is suited to a recent Quantity Surveying graduate or an early-career Quantity Surveyor with up to two years' consultancy experience who is looking to build a strong technical foundation.

You'll support the delivery of projects across multiple sectors, developing your skills in cost planning, estimating, procurement and contract administration while working closely with senior team members and gaining valuable client exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with cost planning, estimating and feasibility studies across all project stages
• Prepare Bills of Quantities, tender documentation and cost reports
• Support procurement and contract administration activities
• Assist with value engineering and cost management throughout project delivery
• Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors under the guidance of senior team members
• Contribute to the successful delivery of projects across a range of sectors
• Continue developing your technical and commercial Quantity Surveying skills

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
• With minimum 1 year consultancy Quantity Surveying experience
• Exposure to pre-contract Quantity Surveying services is highly regarded
• Proficiency in CostX and Microsoft Excel is advantageous
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Full Australian working rights
