About the Role
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Information Security Specialist within our Information and Digital Services Portfolio. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, you will play a vital role in protecting the University's information assets, systems and infrastructure while contributing to the ongoing development of cyber security capabilities across a large and complex environment.
Working as part of a collaborative and highly skilled Information Security team, you will gain broad exposure across cyber security operations, infrastructure security, security monitoring, incident response, emerging cyber security threats and trends, and a diverse range of security projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your technical expertise, expand your cyber security knowledge and contribute to meaningful outcomes in a supportive and flexible university environment, while helping strengthen the security of the University's critical systems and services.

About You
You are a cyber security professional with strong technical capability and a genuine passion for information security. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment, solving complex problems and collaborating with others to deliver practical security outcomes. Whether your experience has been gained in higher education or another complex organisation, you are motivated by opportunities to learn, grow and broaden your exposure across multiple areas of cyber security.

Information and Digital Services (IDS) are a pivotal resource of the University, providing information and digital technology services and support to the Flinders University staff and student community. The IDS team apply technical expertise to support university projects and provide core services such as the IDS Service Desk, Audio visual, simulation and event services, Information security and identity access management services and more.
