About the roleThe IT graduate support officer role sits within the organisations IT Service Desk team and is fantasticopportunity to gain a deep insight into Information Technology in the workplace.You will be responsible to provide first-line technical support by resolving user issues related to hardware, software,and network systems. You will manage service requests and incidents through ticketing systems, ensuring timelyresolution and clear communication. Additionally, you will also help maintain user access, system functionality, andcustomer satisfaction across the organization.Having recently graduated with an IT related qualification, you will have strong communication and customerservice skills and enjoy using your strong problem solving and analytical skills. With a desire to learn and grow, youwill have confidence in collaborating at all levels within the business and across the Information Technologydepartment.
What your day will look likeRespond to incoming tickets and Phone Support: These can include Software installation requests,Hardware issues (e.g., printer not working, blue screens) Email or access problemsRemote troubleshooting: Using tools like LogMeIn and SCCM Remote Assistant to resolve user issuesdirectly.User walk-ins: Helping employees who show up with laptops or devices needing attention.Project work: Assist with various IT ProjectsCreate internal documentationMonitor systems: Check dashboards for server outages, network issues, or security alerts.
What you will bringThe applicant needs to have completed their graduation(bachelors/masters) within the last 12 months.Technical skills include Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, basic networking (IP, DNS, VPN),hardware/software support, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, ITIL fundamentals, and Office 365 tools likeSharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Power BI.Professional skills include time management, clear documentation, and a strong customer service mindset.Effective communication, patience, empathy, and teamwork.Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritisetasks.
If you progress past the interview stage, you may be required to complete pre-employment screening, which may include police checks, a medical, qualification verification, and an Australian work rights check.
