About the Role

We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Finance team on a 12-month contract, working 3 days per week from our Wangara office.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with who enjoys working with numbers, providing great customer service and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services while working closely with employees and stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing monthly and fortnightly payrolls
• Responding to employee payroll enquiries
• Supporting payroll tax, superannuation and compliance activities
• Assisting with payroll reconciliations and journal entries
• Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee data
• Contributing to payroll reporting and administrative processes
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function
• Assist with ad hoc finance and payroll activities as required

About You

We're open to candidates from a range of payroll backgrounds.

You may be an experienced Payroll Officer looking for flexibility, a Payroll Administrator ready for your next challenge, or a Finance professional with payroll exposure who is keen to further develop their skills.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Previous payroll, finance or administration experience
• An understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirements
• A strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Good Microsoft Excel skills
• A customer-focused approach and strong communication skills
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Experience with Definitiv payroll software would be advantageous but is not essential.
