Truck Driver HR/HC & Yard Person

About the role

Lifestyle Landscaping Yeppoon is seeking a Truck Driver HR/HC & Yard Person to join our team on a casual basis. This is a versatile position based in Yeppoon, QLD 4703, combining driving responsibilities with yard operations. You will play a key role in ensuring our landscaping materials and products are transported safely and efficiently to our clients, whilst maintaining our yard facilities to the highest standards. This position is essential to supporting our daily operations and maintaining our reputation for reliable service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining HR and HC licenced trucks to transport landscaping materials and products to client sites

• Conduct pre-start checks and maintain vehicles in good working order

• Loading and unloading landscaping materials safely and securely, following proper lifting techniques and workplace health and safety protocols

• Performing yard maintenance duties, including organisation and storage of materials and equipment

• Communicating effectively with customers during deliveries and addressing any queries or concerns

• Adhering to all traffic laws, company policies and workplace health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

• Current Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence (essential)

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating heavy commercial vehicles

• Excellent driving skills & knowledge of road rules & safety practices

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks regularly

• Ability to safely load, unload and maneuver trucks & equipment

• Strong communication and customer service abilities

• Reliability and punctuality

• Experience operating forklifts or front-end loaders is preferred but not essential
