Finance Officer

Brida is a proud Pilbara-based Aboriginal organisation, creating meaningful employment opportunities and delivering commercial and community services across the region. We are currently seeking a Finance Officer to join our team.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and organised Finance Officer to support the day-to-day financial operations of Brida. This is a varied, hands-on role covering accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, payroll support and general financial administration.

You will play an important role in ensuring our financial processes run smoothly, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records across the organisation.

The role will be based across our Dampier and Roebourne locations.

Key responsibilities:

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing

• Processing invoices and preparing payment runs

• Bank and account reconciliations

• Managing supplier and customer accounts

• Providing payroll support

• Data entry and maintaining accurate financial records

• Assisting with month-end reporting and financial administration

• Maintaining employee and financial documentation

• Responding to finance-related enquiries and providing supporting documentation as required

• Providing general finance and administrative support as required

What we're looking for:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper or similar role

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• A high level of computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A professional and confidential approach when handling financial and employee information

Desirable, but Not Essential

Experience in the following will be highly regarded:

• Xero

• Track

• Payroll processing

• Working within a not-for-profit or community-focused organisation
