Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic – Queensland

MMT Recruitment is partnering with a long-established national transport specialist to recruit an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic for their Adelaide workshop.

Our client is a leader in the movement of drilling rigs, pipeline equipment and specialised heavy transport across Australia’s most remote and challenging regions. With multiple depots nationally and a reputation built since the late 1960s, they operate a highly maintained fleet and uphold strong safety standards across all operations.

This role supports the maintenance and reliability of an internal fleet of heavy and light vehicles that service large-scale oil, gas and pipeline projects. You’ll join a stable, supportive team with long-term career opportunities.

The Role

• Permanent full-time position, Monday to Friday
  
  

• Occasional Saturday work as required
  
  

• Service, repair and maintain a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles and support equipment
  
  

• Carry out diagnostics, fault-finding and preventative maintenance
  
  

• Uphold safety, compliance and high-quality workmanship within a professional workshop environment
  
  

• Work collaboratively with a skilled team committed to safe and efficient operations
  
  

About You

• Trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic / Diesel Fitter
  
  

• Experience working with heavy transport, prime movers, or oil & gas equipment (highly regarded)
  
  

• Strong understanding of safe work practices
  
  

• Positive attitude, strong teamwork and dependable communication skills
  
  

• Current C Class driver’s licence
