Production Kitchen Worker

About the role

This is a structured, daytime production role focused on preparing house made sauces and other product lines consistently and efficiently for a central production kitchen supporting a growing group of premium takeaway pasta stores across Melbourne. There are no late nights, no weekend shifts and no unpredictable restaurant rosters.

Key responsibilities

• Batch cooking sauces and other products according to set recipes

• Planning and completing the daily production schedule

• Leading and working alongside a small production team of 1-2 people

• Ensuring every batch meets standards for taste, quality and consistency

• Following production sheets, recipes and food-safety procedures

• Monitoring stock levels and completing regular stocktakes

• Ordering, receiving, rotating and correctly storing ingredients

• Maintaining accurate production and stock records

• Keeping the production kitchen clean, organised and ready for service

• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, organisation and production processes

About you

• Experience in a production kitchen, catering operation, food-manufacturing environment or high-volume commercial kitchen

• Confident batch cooking and following recipes accurately

• Experience leading, supervising or guiding a small team

• Understanding of food safety, stock rotation and kitchen organisation

• Comfortable using production sheets, completing stocktakes and handling basic computer tasks

• Takes pride in producing the same high-quality result every time

• Reliable, organised and able to work independently

• Enjoys creating structure and finding more efficient ways of working

• Communicates clearly and takes ownership of responsibilities

• Wants to grow with a business rather than remain in the same position long term
