Handyman

About the role

We are a small, family-run property maintenance and renovation company looking for an experienced and reliable Handyman to join our team on a casual basis. You will be working across property maintenance, repairs and renovation projects, completing both smaller handyman jobs and assisting with larger renovation works. We are looking for someone who is confident across a broad range of maintenance and handyman tasks and takes genuine pride in the quality of their work.

Key responsibilities

• General property maintenance and repairs
• Carpentry and door repairs
• Patching and minor plastering
• Painting and preparation
• Flyscreens, locks and window repairs
• Skirting boards and trims
• Cabinetry adjustments and repairs
• Minor paving and external maintenance
• Demolition and renovation works
• Assisting other trades on larger renovation projects

About you

• Have solid experience across a variety of handyman/property maintenance works
• Have your own reliable vehicle and tools suitable for the role
• Hold appropriate insurance
• Be reliable and able to work independently
• Be well presented, professional and respectful
• Be well spoken and comfortable dealing directly with clients, tenants and property managers
• Have good problem-solving skills and use common sense onsite
• Take pride in workmanship and leave properties clean and tidy
• Be honest about what you do and don't know
• Be willing to communicate if you encounter something unexpected or need advice
