Finance Operations (Immediate Start)

About the role

Advent One Pty Ltd is seeking a Finance Operations professional to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial operational role within our finance function, based in Southbank. As Finance Operations professional, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of our accounting and finance processes, supporting the broader financial objectives of the organisation and contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations.

What you'll be doing

• Processing and reconciling financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail

• Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring timely payment and collection cycles

• Preparing and maintaining financial records and documentation in accordance with accounting standards

• Assisting with month-end close procedures, including reconciliations and journal entries

• Liaising with internal departments and external parties to resolve accounting queries and discrepancies

• Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash management activities

• Supporting compliance with financial policies and procedures

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of finance operations and processes

What we're looking for

• 3+ years proven experience in an accounting operations, ideally within a similar organisational environment

• Accredited tertiary qualifications in a relevant field

• Strong proficiency in accounting software (MYOB Acumatica or similar) and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage data accurately and efficiently

• Demonstrated Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable expertise

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial work

• Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments

• Ability to work independently whilst also contributing effectively as part of a team
