House Manager & Family Assistant

We're a busy, professional family with two wonderful young daughters looking for an exceptional House Manager to become the heart of our home.

This is far more than a housekeeping role. We're looking for someone who enjoys creating calm from chaos, takes genuine pride in running a beautiful household, and loves helping a family thrive.

The right person will naturally take ownership, anticipate what needs to be done, and keep our home organised, welcoming and running smoothly. We want someone who enjoys making life easier for others and is looking for a long-term position where they can become a trusted part of our family.

The Role

Housekeeping & Home Management

• Maintain a beautifully presented, clean and organised home.

• Daily cleaning, tidying and resetting of living spaces.

• Laundry, ironing, folding and putting clothes away.

• Change bed linen and towels.

• Keep kitchens, bathrooms and living areas spotless.

• Manage household supplies and ensure everyday essentials are stocked.

• Run errands and coordinate deliveries or appointments.

Cooking & Meal Planning

• Plan healthy, varied family meals each week.

• Grocery shop and maintain pantry supplies.

• Prepare nutritious lunches, snacks and family dinners.

• Cater for different ages, tastes and dietary requirements.

• Take ownership of meal planning with minimal supervision.

Family Administration

• Manage the family's day-to-day to-do list.

• Keep schedules organised and tasks on track.

• Introduce systems and routines that keep the household running efficiently.

• Proactively identify what needs to be done and take ownership.

Childcare & Family Support

• Care for, teach and entertain our four-year-old daughter when she is not at kindergarten one day per week.

• School and kindergarten pick-ups and transport to activities.

• Create a warm, safe and playful environment.

About You

• Experience as a House Manager, Family Assistant, Personal Assistant or similar private household role.

• Warm, trustworthy and highly organised.

• Takes pride in maintaining a beautiful home.

• Enjoys cooking healthy, family-friendly meals.

• Proactive, resourceful and able to work independently.

• Loves working with young children.

• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Essential Requirements

• Current driver's licence.

• Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).

• Police Check.

• First Aid qualification (preferred).

• Excellent references.
