Product Technician

Bringing mobile battery technology into traditionally diesel-reliant industries requires a shift in how people think about temporary power. The status quo to resolve temporary power needs is a diesel generator – part of our mission is to shift this thinking towards Powershift battery solutions as smarter, cleaner, cheaper alternatives.

At a summary level, the Product Technician role entails:

• Working closely with our battery OEMs to ensure products are built and/or delivered to agreed specification and standard

• Supporting the pre-commissioning process to ensure all technical and operational requirements have been met for a smooth commissioning process

• Commissioning of battery systems on-site with customers

• Delivering exceptional technical service and on-call support to all customers throughout their hire term, both remotely and in-person

• Supporting maintenance, repairs and improvements across the fleet

Essential Criteria

• Alignment with Powershifts vision and mission as defined in this Position Description and an ability to work in a high-growth start-up environment

• Qualified Electrician holding and able to maintain a current and valid Electrical License

• 5 years+ hands-on experience in the field - not required to be BESS specific, however BESS or similar experience viewed favourably

• Experience working across commercial-industrial sites, with a proven understanding of typical on-site equipment and electrical infrastructure

• Strong customer service skills, with an ability to professionally support customers with troubleshooting technical enquiries, both over the phone and in-person

• Ability to keep accurate records on products and customer technical enquiries

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proactive and solution-oriented

• Must hold an Australian drivers license. Company vehicle supplied

• Must be able to travel regularly across SEQ to Powershift warehouse and office locations (Berrinba and Sunshine Coast) and to customer sites primarily across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Some interstate travel also required as overflow support to commission and support units in the field with customers.

• Must be able to be on-call for after hours technical support where required

Preferred but not Essential Criteria

• Experience with any type of battery system or battery technology

• Experience in a customer and/or product support role

• Experience with PLC, automation, power generator, PV solar highly regarded
