The Opportunity

Cleanaway has invested significantly in rebuilding its digital experience. We're now looking for an experienced digital writer to help expand that platform through stronger content architecture, customer journeys and search visibility.

This 12 month contract is an opportunity to develop engaging content journeys, expand customer-focused resources and improve how our customers find information through both traditional search, AI-generated search results and other digital channels.

• Develop high-quality website content and customer communications that promote and reinforce Cleanaway's Customer Value Proposition (CVP), while optimising for expertise, authority and trust to drive engagement and search performance across digital journeys.
• Create case studies, customer stories and strategic content assets that can be leveraged across the website, tenders and customer communications
• Build content pathways for different customer segments, helping users quickly find relevant services, industry information and support resources.
• Translate complex operational and technical information into clear, engaging and customer-focused content
• Work with subject matter experts across Operations, Sales and Corporate teams to identify stories, customer outcomes and content opportunities.

About You

With either a journalism, editorial, copywriting or digital content background, you're first and foremost an excellent writer. You'll enjoy this role if you're curious, ask good questions and enjoy turning complex operational or technical information into clear, useful content that customers can easily find and understand.

• Proven experience in copywriting, content creation, journalism or digital content roles with a strong portfolio of written work
• Experience developing website content, content architecture and information structures that support SEO, AEO, AI-driven discovery and customer journey optimisation
• Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling capability across multiple content formats
• Ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, customer-focused communications
• Experience working within Sitecore CMS or comparable enterprise content management platforms
