ABOUT LUX

Lux Interiors is a Perth-based design and construction firm specialising in high-end residential renovations. Established in 2010, we take on a select number of projects at a time, working with clients who value thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and a considered process from concept through to completion.

We design and build in-house. That means we're closely involved at every stage, and we take full responsibility for how each project is delivered.

Multiple HIA Award winner, 2020–2025, including WA Residential Interior Design of the Year (2025) and Kitchen of the Year (2024, 2023, 2022).

WHAT SETS THIS ROLE APART

A true design and build environment. You'll work directly with our construction team from early concept through to completion, leading to better detailing, more informed decisions, and outcomes that hold true to the original design intent.

A fresh start in Perth. We're actively looking to bring an experienced Sydney interior architect across to WA, with relocation fees paid to make the move straightforward.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-haves:

—    Registered architect (ARBWA or equivalent interstate registration), or working toward registration

—    7+ years post-graduate experience in high-end residential design

—    Fluency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit and the broader documentation toolset

—    Sound understanding of the NCC, with willingness to build working knowledge of WA planning regulations

—    Extensive experience working directly with clients, with strong commercial acumen

Highly regarded:

—    A track record leading teams and mentoring junior designers

—    Comfort making decisions under budget, risk, and delivery constraints

Above all, you'll have a genuine interest in beautiful interiors, materials, and detailing, and want autonomy, influence, and long-term growth within a business. This is also for someone open to relocating from Sydney to Perth for the right opportunity.

THE ROLE

—    Lead architectural design from concept through to construction

—    Work directly with clients to shape and elevate their homes

—    Collaborate closely with the build team to maintain design integrity

—    Build and mentor your own design team, providing technical guidance along the way

—    Coordinate the design team and work with the wider projects team to manage programs, budgets and deliverables

—    Undertake site inspections and contract administration through construction

—    Oversee quality assurance and uphold Lux documentation and detailing standards

—    Contribute to internal systems, design standards, and the broader direction of the business

Based in our Claremont showroom and office. Relocation fees paid to support your move from Sydney to Perth, covering the cost of relocating yourself and your household.
