Branch Manager

About the role

Southern Sheet & Coil is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead our operations at our Wacol, Queensland facility. This is a permanent full-time position offering the opportunity to take ownership of a small but dynamic branch within the steel industry. Reporting directly to the Group General Manager (based in NSW), this role offers significant strategic importance within our organisation, as you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, driving profitability, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of office and warehouse staff.

• Develop and execute strategies to retain existing customers and attract new business.

• Oversee sales and marketing initiatives to grow the branch’s presence in the market.

• Manage branch financial performance, including P&L accountability.

• Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant warehousing and operational practices.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a management role within a distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment.

• Knowledge of the steel and sheet and coil industry (preferred).

• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team while driving performance.

• Strong communication, presentation, and time management skills.

• Well-developed selling & negotiation abilities.
