Mechanical Trade Assistant

Blue Diamond is a leading industrial equipment supplier specializing in Generators and Air Compressors and other industrial equipment.

We are offering an exciting opening to work out of our brand new Hope Valley branch. We are looking for motivated Trade Assistants to join our team and grow along with our company.

Primary Duties will be:

• Supporting tradespeople, contractors and operators with general labouring assistance, by operating hand and power tools and by cleaning and preparing equipment and work areas.

• Assist with mechanical and low voltage (12/24VDC) works and upfit of components on new/used company products as required.

• Unloading and loading of trucks and containers using a forklift.

• Engage in training opportunities offered by Blue Diamond Machinery.

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in and around the work environment.

The suitable applicant will have:

• A current forklift ticket license (preferred).

• A positive can-do attitude and be a team player.

• Good time management and task prioritisation skills.

• The ability to work both autonomously and be part of a team.

• Hard working and willingness to work additional hours to ensure jobs are completed on time.

• Strong focus on general safety standards and work methods.
