We are a Melbourne-based property development company specialising in residential land subdivision and property developments projects. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented full-time Accountant to join our team and support the financial management of our expanding development portfolio.

About the Role

Reporting to the CFO, you will provide accounting and administrative support across multiple property development projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to project accounting and financial management within the property development industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts.

• Complete month-end and year-end accounting processes.

• Maintain the general ledger and complete balance sheet reconciliations.

• Prepare quarterly BAS/IAS.

• Perform monthly bank and supplier statement reconciliations.

• Match supplier invoices with contracts, purchase orders and project allocations.

• Process supplier invoices in a timely manner and prepare weekly payment runs.

• Support the CFO with ad-hoc finance duties and business improvement projects as required.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline (or actively working toward CA/CPA qualification).

• Experience in an accounting or finance support role with strong understanding of accounting processes and reconciliations.

• Previous experience in construction, property development and land subdivision related industries is highly regarded but not required.

• Experience with accounting software such as MYOB or Xero.

• Possess good communication skills and a proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to speak and read Mandarin is highly desirable.
