Ministerial and Executive Support Officer

This position is available for 12 months with the possibility of extension or permanency.

In this role, you’ll provide high-level ministerial, executive and governance support to Landgate’s Chief Executive, Board and Corporate Executive. It’s a varied and trusted position where your organisation, judgement and communication skills will help keep important matters moving smoothly.

The responsibilities of the role include:

• Coordinate ministerial and executive correspondence, including drafting, reviewing and tracking responses, briefing notes and advice for senior leaders and government stakeholders.
• Support Board, committee and executive meetings by preparing agendas and meeting packs, recording clear minutes, maintaining action registers and helping ensure decisions are followed through.
• Maintain governance records, registers, approvals and documentation that support good decision-making, compliance, transparency and continuity across executive and ministerial processes.
• Build positive working relationships across Landgate, government offices and external stakeholders, helping matters progress accurately, professionally and within required timeframes.

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Experience providing executive level support to a Board, Chief Executive and Corporate Executive, or equivalent.
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build effective relationships and partnerships, and the ability to adapt to suit different audiences, where required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, plan and prioritise workloads, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail and confidentiality

While not essential, it’s desirable if you can demonstrate:

• Experience in managing Ministerial Correspondence and an understanding of government processes.

This position is available for 12 months with the possibility of extension or permanency. Further offers may be made as other similar (permanent or fixed term) role arise.

The recommended applicant will be required to complete a pre-employment screening process prior to appointment.
