Food and Beverage Attendant (with Approved Manager)

Located in the beautiful coastal community of Secret Harbour, our venue offers a vibrant hospitality environment including our bar, bistro, café and function spaces.

As part of a growing hospitality team, you will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of services including daily dining, golf competitions, member events, corporate functions, weddings and special events.

As an Approved Manager, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of our Food & Beverage department and the wider venue.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You may be leading a busy bar shift, supporting restaurant or café service, assisting with functions and events, or ensuring the team is delivering exceptional service to every guest.

Working in a golf course environment offers a diverse hospitality experience. From a busy Saturday morning competition and post-golf drinks through to relaxed lunches, corporate events, weddings and large functions, you will need to be adaptable, hands-on and ready to support the team wherever needed.

We are looking for someone who can confidently step up, support and guide the team while ensuring responsible service, compliance and venue standards are consistently maintained.

This role offers approximately 25–30 hours per week initially, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position and develop across a variety of areas within the business. For the right candidate, there is strong potential for career progression, increased responsibility and opportunities to expand your skills across our wider hospitality and venue operations.

• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

• Lead and support the Food & Beverage team during busy service periods

• Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times

• Oversee Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements, licensing compliance and venue policies

• Manage and support bar, bistro, café and function operations

• Provide exceptional food and beverage service to members, guests, golfers and visitors

• Manage busy periods before and after golf competitions and events

• Support weddings, corporate functions and other special events

• Assist with opening and closing procedures

• Complete cash handling and reconciliation procedures where required

• Supervise staff and assist with team training and development

• Assist with stock control and stock rotation

• Support bar and beverage stock management

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, hygiene and food safety

• Ensure the venue is well presented and ready for daily trade, functions and events

• Manage customer concerns and feedback professionally and efficiently

• Work closely with the Functions, Golf Operations and Management teams to ensure a seamless guest experience

• Lead by example and contribute to a positive, supportive and high-performing team culture

• Be willing to assist across all areas of the venue when required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current Approved Manager certification (Red Card) – essential

• A current RSA

• Previous experience in a hospitality leadership, supervisory or management role

• Strong bar experience and confidence working in a fast-paced environment

• Barista experience is highly regarded

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example

• The ability to confidently support, motivate and develop a team

• A strong focus on quality, customer satisfaction and guest experience

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

• The ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
