Electrician – Service Technician

About the Role:

We are looking for technically competent, experienced, and highly motivated Electrician join our BMU Division in Sydney.

GDP Service, repair, upgrade, modify and replace building maintenance units (BMU’s). We have built our reputation on providing superior customer service, competitive pricing, and rigorous safety protocols. You will play a critical role in undertaking both the requisite planned maintenance activities, troubleshooting/resolving breakdowns and deploying the best-practice long term solutions to increase reliability.

You are recognized as a subject matter expert with specialized knowledge and skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment. You will be entrusted with adapting standard methods and procedures by applying your knowledge, prior work experiences and requirements. You will arrive at decisions on which methods and procedures are the best fit for different work situations.

About You:

• Qualified Electrician

• Full Working Rights

• Australian Driver's License

• White Card

• Clean police record

• Demonstrated well developed fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• The ability to work in a small team without close supervision

• Customer focused with good communication skills

• Be physically fit

• Thorough knowledge of WHS regulations & procedures

• Understand and deliver compliant OH&S systems on site

• Experience with PLC programming/troubleshooting

• Previous experience in service/maintenance roles

• Comfortable with working at heights

Further experience in any of the following areas will provide you with a distinct advantage:

• Previous experience in BMU maintenance

• Previous experience in crane maintenance

• Previous experience in elevator/lift industry.
