Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Machine Operator to join our manufacturing and packaging team. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance packaging machinery (including blister packaging, capsule counters, cartoners, rotary cappers, labellers and coding equipment).
Working under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager and coordinating with Quality Assurance, you will ensure high-efficiency production output while maintaining strict compliance with TGA, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workplace safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Machine Operation & Line Setup (Changeover)
Set Up & Operate Machinery: Prepare, set up and operate automated pharmaceutical packaging equipment according to specific production schedules and Batch Cards.
Material & Component Feeding: Load packaging components (bottles, blisters, foil, cartons, leaflets, labels) into machine feeds to ensure continuous, uninterrupted production runs.
Line Clearance & Sanitization: Perform complete line clearance, machine disassembly/assembly, and thorough cleaning/sanitization between batch runs to prevent cross-contamination.
Line Adjustments: Perform routine machine adjustments according to standard operating guidelines to maintain target line speeds and optimal output.
Maintenance: Support to identify, troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical and operational problems.
2. Quality & Compliance
Strictly adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Raydel’s Quality Management System (QMS).
GMP Documentation: Accurately complete batch packaging records, equipment logbooks, and line clearance checklists in accordance with TGA and GMP standards.
Deviation Reporting: Identify and immediately report material defects, machine malfunctions, or quality deviations to the Line Technician, QA Team, or Manufacturing Manager.
3. Safety & Housekeeping (5S)
Safety Adherence: Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) regulations and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Workstation Cleanliness: Keep work areas, equipment, and tools clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and GMP standards at all times.
Full training will be provided for the right applicant who is willing to learn and engage with the requirements and complexities of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Certificate/Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering (or related technical field).
Experience: 1 - 3+ years of hands-on operator experience in a packaging/manufacturing line within a TGA/GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, complementary medicine, or food environment.
Skills & Competencies:
Demonstrated experience operating packaging machinery (blister, Cartoning, capping, labelling, coding).
Solid understanding of GMP principles, SOP compliance, Line Clearance
Good mechanical aptitude for machine adjustments, troubleshooting and maintenance
Physical Capabilities:
Ability to perform manual handling tasks throughout shift (standing, bending, lifting up to 25 kg).
Full capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to safety alarms/signals.
Language & Communication:
Proficient in spoken and written English for accurate documentation and effective team communication.
Korean language capability is preferred (due to Korean machinery vendor manuals/coordination) but not required.
