Duty Supervisor - Central Specimen Reception

1. Demonstrated experience in a Pathology Specimen Reception area with a sound understanding of all procedures.
2. Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the capacity to lead, motivate and manage conflict whilst contributing to building a team focused on providing high quality customer service.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people
4. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet set deadlines whilst ensuring the laboratory meets best practice.
5. Experience working within an environment requiring sensitivity and consideration in relation to confidentiality and privacy.
6. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.

7. Willingness and ability to participate in a 24/7 rotating shift roster, including weekends, public holidays, night shifts, and oncall as required.
