Cardijn College is seeking an outstanding educator and leader to take on the role of Basketball Coordinator at our Marian Campus.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher with a strong basketball background to lead and further develop one of the College's signature sporting pathways. The successful applicant will hold a permanent teaching position at Cardijn College, supported by a Position of Responsibility (POR 1) appointment as Basketball Coordinator.
Working collaboratively with students, staff, families and external sporting organisations, you will drive a culture of excellence, participation and personal growth while supporting students to pursue both academic and sporting success.

About the Role
The Basketball Coordinator will provide strategic and operational leadership of the College's Basketball Academy, ensuring a high-quality sporting and learning experience for all participants.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing the Basketball Academy program and curriculum.
Providing coaching, mentorship and leadership development opportunities for students.
Supporting Basketball Academy teaching staff through collaboration, professional learning and curriculum development.
Developing strong partnerships with clubs, associations and high-performance basketball pathways.
Coordinating tournaments, carnivals, exchanges and representative opportunities.
Promoting the Academy within the College and broader community.
Managing Academy resources, facilities and budgets.
Ensuring student wellbeing, child safeguarding and duty of care remain central to all activities.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:
Exceptional teaching practice and a passion for student growth and achievement.
Experience in basketball coaching, player development and/or sports program leadership.
The ability to inspire and lead both students and colleagues.
Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational, strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.

Essential Requirements
Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain:
Current South Australian Teacher Registration.
Catholic Education South Australia Accreditation (or commitment to obtain).
Working With Children Check.
Catholic Police Clearance.
RRHAN-EC Certification.
Mandatory Notification Training.
Relevant First Aid qualifications.
