Medical Receptionist

Family Health Care Mackay Rural View is a busy 7-day clinic with 8 full size consulting rooms, spacious treatment rooms, and state-of-the-art medical equipment.

Our Family Health Care Mackay Rural View is looking for a Medical Receptionist to join a great and supportive team on a Casual basis. This role includes regular but varied shifts and the ability to cover leave, so good availability is required.

This role is perfect for someone who has excellent communication skills, is able to multitask, and is comfortable working in a busy environment. Experience in General Practice will be highly regarded but is not essential.

In this role you will:

• Deliver exceptional patient service at all times

• Participate in practice meetings and contribute ideas for improvement 

• Efficiently manage patient data, appointments and follow procedures

• Provide a seamless service to patients whilst ensuring clinic operations, and Doctor workload is effectively managed at all times

• Process patients billings/receipts

• Assist Doctors with day to day administrative support and take an active part in working closely with other team members to manage daily tasks

• Function in a highly organised and time-efficient manner at all times

• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and prioritise

• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

• High level of computer literacy

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

• High-level attention to detail

• Previous Medical Reception experience would be an advantage however not essential

• Enthusiasm, willingness, and ability to learn and retain information
